In response to the pronouncement of the Provincial Government for the opening of the Provincial border, and opening of Siargao and Surigao Airports on December 1, 2020, the LGU of General Luna hereby prescribe travel guidelines and protocols through the issuance of Executive Order No. 015, Series of 2020.
Al Inbound and Returning Individuals such as tourists, LSIs, ROFs, and APORs shall no longer be required to undergo quarantine except for the following reasons:
1. No RT-PCR or Antigen negative result for inbound and returning individuals from outside the province until such time that he/she can present such negative swab test result.
2. No barangay certification that he/she is not a close contact of the confirmed positive case in any level, for inbound and returning individuals within the province including Siargao Municipalities with confirmed local transmission until such time that he/she can present negative swab test result.
3. Asymptomatic confirmed COVID-19 positive for 14 days in the Municipal Isolation Unit
4. Close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 positive for 14 days in the Municipal Quarantine Facility
5. Symptomatic confirmed COVID-19 positive shall be brought directly to the hospital in Surigao City.
The barangays and accommodation management shall be the primary responsible in the strict monitoring and management of all inbound and returning individuals such as tourists, LSIs, ROFs, and APORs. Concerned agencies and LGU personnel shall likewise, take part in the implementation of the new normal protocols, and monitoring of the concerned individuals.
With the opening of GL, we urge the public to remain cautious and guarded at all times. For now, non-essential gatherings that might draw huge crowd will not be allowed while we are still under the adjustment and assessment period. Continue to follow the basic health protocols by wearing face mask and face shield, physical distancing, hand sanitation, and the like.
Under this new normal situation, there is nothing we can do but to prepare and be cooperative with the government’s efforts and initiatives to protect and mitigate possible proliferation of COVID-19. Stay safe, General Luna.
